Villa Apua bedroom 2

Villa Apua

Villa Apua, by the Versilia-based studio PAN_Architetti, has been developed through a careful architectural design, sensitive both to the interests and desires of the clients and to the themes related to the site. The architects have always sought to establish an intimate relationship with the landscape and the memory of Forte dei Marmi, avoiding self-referential gestures and focusing on the creation of a space that is both functional and contemplative, integrating nature through a continuous series of green spaces.
A key element of the project was the desire to make water the protagonist of the space; for this reason, the architects involved Andrea Lupi from the very beginning of the project, knowing that they could rely not only on the design, experience, technology and high level of customisation of the collections of a leading company in the sector such as antoniolupi, but above all on the passion with which the brand approaches every challenge.
Externally, the villa is presented as a simple superimposition and juxtaposition of regular volumes, held together by a horizontal sign that, to the south-west, defines a large portico typical of Mediterranean culture. The alternation of solids and voids generates shapes, light and shadows that create unique and varied relationships with the site and the materials used, such as travertine and wood, harmonizing the volumes with their surroundings.Beyond the entrance threshold, the space gradually expands from insideto outside: the veranda, garden and swimming pool become an integral part of the living area thanks to large, full-height sliding windows.
The living room, the beating heart of the house, is a relational space for moments of relaxation and recreation, reflecting the clients' passion for art and contemporary design.
Works by artists and designers working in Versilia accentuate and define unexpected corners, responding to the clients' desire to create a link between the house and the territory, not only from an architectural and landscape point of view, but also from an artistic and intellectual one.
The wellness area in the basement, zenithed-lit by a lushly planted courtyard, is designed to make the owners feel completely "on holiday", to relax and recharge without having to leave the house; it includes a spa and sauna, a lounge for reading and relaxing, and an area dedicated to yoga and exercise. The spa pays homage to Japanese cleansing rituals, with the contrast between the heat of the sauna or the onsen and the cold water of the mizuburo.
The master bedroom on the ground floor has been designed as an independent and private space in direct contact with the greenery outside, while the sleeping area on the upper floor enjoys excellent sunlight and a privileged view of the garden and the horizon, seeking a visual connection with the sea to the south-west.
